I always have a project (or two…or three…) on the needles, and I’m really enjoying my current Work In Progress, the Honey Cowl designed for Madelinetosh.
Over the winter I indulged myself with a visit to my favorite local yarn shop and picked up a gorgeous hank of the Madelinetosh Tosh DK. So squishy soft and inviting! In hindsight I should have gone outside of my comfort zone to get a color that wasn’t so neutral – but I do love the sheen on this color way, titled Great Grey Owl.
The Honey Cowl is a simple pattern – beautiful mindless to work, just alternating rows of purls and slip stitches with straight knit – but the effect is really gorgeous.
This is a perfect project, too, for carrying around with me and sneaking a few stitches in as I run around town. The pattern is free on Ravelry and comes in multiple sizes depending on if you want it short, long, or right in the middle. Since I only have one hank to work with, I chose the in-between size which, if my gauge is right, should leave me with a 32″ long cowl that is 8″ deep.
Don’t forget to follow me on Ravelry to stay on top of what’s on and coming off of my needles!
