Dr. Jill Biden’s dress wasn’t the only crafty-goodness to come out of last week’s inauguration. Senator Bernie Sanders’ mittens have taken the world by storm!

The mittens, which were made for him by Jen Ellis of Vermont, a passionate Bernie supporter, have attracted attention from just about every facet, spawning an adorable Bernie meme that’s fairly inescapable these days. The Washington Post has full story. And The New York Times talks about the art of reverse knit – the process that Ellis used to create these now iconic mittens – recycled from an old sweater.

Crafters have been fast to work to memorialize the Senator and his amazing mittens. Here is a quick found up of the patterns and projects available!
